Core Beliefs of Tony Grady
Candidate for Nevada Lt. Governor

“The United States was founded on the principle that we are responsible to and will answer to God for our actions. The Founders designed our system of government as a Representative Republic where the government must operate with checks and balances because men are flawed, hence why our government consists of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. There will always be a power struggle between them. This was intentional for the purpose of maintaining a balance of power.”
“I believe that strong families are the basis of strong communities, and many social problems are best handled on the local level. This is why we must always support the family and do what is necessary to enable it to thrive. I believe in the individual freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution and individual responsibility for one’s actions. I’m a Constitutional originalist. Therefore, the government should be limited as originally intended. As examples I gain great insight and understanding from Justice Clarence Thomas’ legal briefs. Economically I agree with the Austrian school of economics, where the economy is driven by free market principles. I have learned much from the writings of Thomas Sowell who clearly illustrates the out workings of this philosophy.”
